Why We Give

Our citizenship is in heaven.

As citizens of heaven, we give because God has been generous to us in Christ. When we give, we are investing in what matters most: the multiplication of God’s Kingdom.

As Jesus says,
“where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Giving isn’t just something we do. It’s part of who we are as citizens.

Why Give to Citizens?

All members of a local church are called to give to their church.

But throughout Scripture, we also see believers giving beyond their local context to support the spread of the gospel in new places. In 2 Corinthians 8, churches gave generously to strengthen the work of God outside of themselves, for the sake of the Kingdom.

Some are called not only to give to their local church, but to invest in what God is doing elsewhere. When you give to Citizens Church, you are helping establish a new church in Columbia that will prepare Citizens for heaven by living faithfully on Earth.
